Detectable PEEK Product Overview
Very high maximum allowable service temperature in air (250°C continuously, up to 310°C for short periods of time)
High mechanical strength, stiffness and creep resistance, also at elevated temperatures
Excellent chemical and hydrolysis resistance
Excellent wear & frictional behavior
Very good dimensional stability
Excellent resistance to high energy radiation (gamma- and X-rays)
Inherent low flammability and very low levels of smoke evolution during combustion
The Detectable PEEK family of materials is based on polyetheretherketone resin. This semi-crystalline advanced material exhibits a unique combination of high mechanical properties, temperature resistance and excellent chemical resistance making it the most popular advanced plastics material.
Product Details
The new PEEK metal detectable material is best suited for applications where high line speeds require good wear resistance, or where operating temperatures in use are higher than 130°C.
Further key characteristics:
Good material solution for machine parts which undergo multiple sterilization, mainly in equipment with CIP (cleaning in place) or SIP (sterilisation in place)
Suitable for food approved parts requiring high stiffness without reinforcement
High dimensional stability for high precision parts
Good impact/stiffness ratio
Color dark grey
